Friday Night Open Skating Rules
- All
participants must wear skates while on the ice surface. Those
without skates will not be permitted on the ice surface.
- No
one is allowed in the ice surface until the Zamboni doors are
closed.
- Player’s
benches, locker rooms and the penalty boxes are off limits. Skaters
should not sit on the boards.
- Chairs,
sleds, strollers, pylons and other obstructions are not permitted on
the ice surface.
- Food
and drink are not permitted on the ice surface or players boxes. All
refreshments (food and drinks) must be consumed in the snack bar
area.
- Games
such as tag, keep-away or racing will is not permitted.
- Skating
backwards is not permitted.
- Throwing
snow or ice is not permitted
- The
use of hockey sticks, pucks or balls are not permitted.
- Walkman’s,
CD or mp3 players, and cell phones are not allowed in the ice
surface.
- The
metal “skaters helpers” are reserved for beginning skaters ONLY.
- Skaters
are expected to conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen. Skaters
are to be neatly groomed; clothes neat and clean. Halter or tube
tops, half or mid-rib shirts and sleeveless jerseys are not allowed.
- Figure
skating is discretionary during open skating dependent on the number
of patrons participating in the session.
- Please
skate at a sensible speed, adhere to the directions of arena staff
members, Speed is discretionary dependent on the skill level of the
individual, speed of other skaters, and number of patrons on the
ice. Skaters should not loiter along the arena boards or in areas
that may block major traffic flow.
- Ice
marshals will be present to supervise all public skating. Report all
accidents or injuries to arena staff members on duty.
- Refrain
from carrying children while skating.
- Helmet
use is recommended for all beginner skaters.
- Those
displaying unacceptable behavior will be asked to leave. For
violations such as excessive speed, horseplay, acting out or foul
mouth, patrons will be asked to comply with the rules. Fighting,
weapons, drugs, alcohol will not be tolerated under any
circumstances and will be expelled immediately.
- No
profanity. Repetitive profanity and foul or abusive language will
lead to suspension from the building.
- Alcoholic
beverages, illegal substances, or anyone under the influence, will
not be permitted on the premises. This is a “Smoke Free” Arena.
- Management
reserves the right to ask anyone to leave at any time. No refunds

not responsible for accidents . . .. We are not responsible for lost or
stolen articles. Skate at your own risk!
