6 to 12 Volt Converter Installation
Instructions
Parts Required:
A heavy duty fuse holder and input fuse
(Not Supplied) is required on the
input of the voltage converter.
Maximum Input Fuse Size:
MES612-NG8A Negative Ground Converter: Input Fuse At
25 Amps Maximum
MES612-PG6A Positive Ground Converter:
Input Fuse At 25 Amps Maximum
The 6 to 12 Volt converter allows the use of 12 Volt accessories in
a 6 Volt vehicle.
It is recommended that the converter is
connected
directly to the battery. Refer to wiring diagrams.

The output fues is located next to the wires on the side of the
converter.
The Maximum rating of this fuse is 8 Amps for
the Negative Ground converter and 6 Amps for the Positive Ground
converter.
For protection against overload and a possible fire do
NOT replace the fuse with a higher amp rating.
It is recommended that the fuse be sized lower if the
full output of the converter is not needed.
Observe correct vehicle wire gauge (size)
according
to input and output currents.
Improper vehicle wiring can cause fires. If you
are
not comfortable performing the installation, refer installation to a
qualified
electrical service technician.
