Treasurer’s
report:
Rae
Ann Bohlman stated that in the month of December we had income of $86,546.77.
Balance of $524.73 in checking and $229,133.58 in savings.
Also have two $20,000.00 certificates at Flagship Bank fka Community Bank
Jordan and a $20,000 certificate at KleinBank Chaska.
Total $289,658.31. There is a
certificate at Flagship Bank fka Community Bank Jordan renewing this month.
Rae went over rates. Motion
by Les and seconded by Hubie to renew the certificate for $20,000 at Flagship
Bank and put the interest in the savings account.

by Hubie and seconded by Les to approve treasurer’s report.

Old
Business:
Annexation
and developer’s agreement – Meeting scheduled for January 23rd
with City of Jordan. Meeting on
Tuesday, January 16th at 10 a.m. with the City of Belle Plaine at the
City Hall with Joann Foust and the Municipal Development Group, City Planner and
Gina Mitchell. This will be to work
on comp plan and annexation agreement.
Township
Right of Way Ordinance – Tabled.
City
of Belle Plaine update – As stated above.
City
of Jordan updates – As stated above. Ted
attended the planning commission’s meeting on Tuesday for Jordan’s comp
plan.
MN
Dot updates – Nothing to update.
Township
Road No. 57 Grant Update – Had a meeting with Halling and with the County.
Opened a can or worms up with issues on the punch list.
The county is supposedly going down to take care of it and Halling is on
board.
Union
Pacific Railroad – Halling has been instructed to write a letter to the
railroad to get someone from the railroad with authority to discuss this project
with us. Once this letter takes
effect, we can go back to John Strolich about the funding.
Will get the information to Dan Jobe with regards to how much the
township has spent on this project to date.
Scenic
Byways – tabled.
Road
Maintenance Report –Other Business/Notices/Public Comments – Roads look
good.
Board
of Equalization Meeting will be set up for April 19, 2007 at 7 p.m.
Hubie
asked about getting the taxes on the property that was annexed into the City of
Jordan. These properties include
Carey and Schmitz.
Rae
Ann to check on the township hall rent payments and get on next month’s bills
to be paid.
Les
has letter sent from Scott County with regards to crack sealing and seal
coating. Need to do seal coating
this year. Supervisors will fill out
form and prioritize what needs to be done.
Jim
Stang asked if we received money from the State of Minnesota but want us to
close Acorn Way. No, this is the
railroad that wants Acorn Way closed and nothing is being done right now.
This was only if we got a bridge at the other end of #57.
No further business to come before the meeting. Motion by Les and seconded by Hubie to recess meeting to all other meetings for the next month. No discussion. Motion carried.
