New Business:

Scott County Police Report – No police report.

Speed limit on Township #57 – 40-MPH signs were pulled today.  Les spent one hour on a conference call with Leslie Vermilion and Mitch Rasmussen today and apologized for everything that we did out here.  There are some other people that Les will also go and apologize to with regards to this.  They then got into a conversation about whether they are pissed or not and they are not.  Les asked about the Scott County Fair Grounds and identify it as a popular place, went on to talk about the process.  Township will meet with Scott County to get together and write the request that will go to MN Dot to lower the speed around the fair grounds.  Mitch Rasmussen will write the letter to MN DOT along with the backup information that Ted got from Halling with regards to the speed limit information for the road.   Motion by Les and seconded by Hubie to put a resolution in place to start the process of a study on Township #57, Fairview and 195th with regards to the speed limit around the fair grounds.  Motion carried by all.

Irrigation systems – Ag irrigation is a permitted use regulated by the Department of Natural Resources which requires a permit and fees and is on an annual permit and they are allowed by permits so many gallons of water.  If the water limit is exceeded, then it is paid on a “per gallon” basis.  Hours of operation are recorded.  Ted gave us this information.  It allows for 24-hour operation unless the DNR stops it.
