Re-Organizational meeting

March 23, 2007

Pledge was recited by all present.

Ted Kornder called re-organizational meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Motion by Hubie and seconded by Les to have Ted as Chairman of the board, no discussion, motion carried by all.

RaeAnn Bohlman was sworn into the office of Treasurer for a two-year term and Hubert Jeurissen was sworn into the office of Treasurer for a three-year term.

Ramona Bischof, Clerk, stated that Karen Coil would be the Deputy Clerk.

Rae Ann Bohlman, Treasurer, stated that Teresa Hanson would be the Deputy Treasurer.

Motion by Les and seconded by Hubie to approve the following for the year March 2007 to March 31, 2008:

Township Attorney:                            Robert Rupee

Engineering Firm:                             Halling Engineering

Assessor:                                              Leo Anderly

Road Grade Operator:                          Les Quatmann

General Maintenance:                         Les Quatmann

B. P. Ambulance Coordinator:           Ted Kornder with Hubert Jeurissen as back up

B. P. Fire:                                               Ted Kornder with Hubert Jeurissen as back up

Jordan Fire:                                           Les Quatmann with Ted Kornder as back up

Watershed Coordinator:                     Ted Kornder - Les Quatmann, Hubert Jeurissen as back up

Weed Inspectors:                                                Hubert Jeurissen - Ted Kornder, Les Quatmann as assistants

No further discussion.  Motion carried by all.

Motion by Hubie and seconded by Les to approve the following:

Rates for Equipment:                           Grade Roads                                         $20 per hour

                                                                Maintenance Work                              $15 per hour

                                                                Tractor Blade                                        $55 per hour/includes labor and gas

                                                                Shoulder Disc                                       $65 per hour/includes labor and gas

Rates for Emergencies:                        Labor, pick-up and chain saw            $30 per hour

                                                                Labor and heavy equipment              $65 per hour

Mileage:                                                 Per state guidelines

Election Judges:                                   $12 per hour

Seminars/Short Courses:                    $100 per day plus lodging and mileage

Salaries:                                                 Chairman                                               $300/month plus $50 per meeting

                                                                Supervisors                                           $250/month plus $50 per meeting

                                                                Treasurer                                               $475/month plus $50 per meeting

                                                                Clerk                                                       $600/month plus $50 per meeting

Meetings are charged on a “per meeting” basis.  Per Diem rates are not charged.

Motion carried by all.

Motion by Ted and seconded by Les to approve the following contractors for the period of April 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008:

Snowplowing/Sanding:       No decision was made       

Tree Trimming:                     Dahlke Tree Service

Ditch Mowing:                     Dave’s Excavating – Dave Hellriegel

Aggregate Products:           Schmitz Pit, Bryan Rock or Casota Stone

Trucking:                               Dvorak or Jim Stang

General Contracting

Dirt Work:                             Dvorak

Motion by Ted and seconded by Hubie to approve Resolution to continue work on Township Road #57 with a proposed $100,000 DNR grant and $15,000 of township monies.  Motion carried by all.  Three ayes, no neys.

Motion by Les and seconded by Hubie to adjourn meeting.  Motion carried by all.
