MONTHLY MEETING

November 9, 2006

 

Pledge was recited by all present.

 

Ted Kornder called recessed meeting of October 12, 2006 to order at 7:03 p.m. on November 9, 2006.  Motion by Ted and seconded by Hubie to adjourn.  No discussion.  Motion carried by all.  Meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.

Minutes of the last meeting of October 12, 2006 were reviewed.  No further discussion.   Motion by Hubie and seconded by Ted to approve.  Motion carried by all.

 

Treasurer’s report:

 

Rae Ann Bohlman stated that in the month of October we had income of $1,280.43.  Balance of $508.53 in checking and $170,787.74 in savings.  Also have two $20,000.00 certificates at Community Bank Jordan and a $20,000 certificate at KleinBank Chaska.  Total $231,296.27.  The Certificate at Community Bank Jordan is renewing this month.  Will check and get the best rate possible on a 12-month certificate.   Motion by Ted and seconded by Hubie to approve treasurer’s report.  No further discussion.  Motion carried.

Motion by Ted and seconded by Hubie to hold the Halling invoices until we talk with them now that we have the breakout of the bills.  Motion carried.  Motion by Ted and seconded by Hubie to approve bills to be paid with the exception of Halling Engineering.  No further discussion.  Motion carried.

 

Permits:

 

Darwin Goetz – Renewal of Liquor License for OK Corral – Motion by Hubie and seconded by Ted to approve renewal of Liquor license for OK Corral.  Motion carried.

 

New Business:

Aberdeen Avenue Right-of-Way transfer to City of Jordan – Motion by Hubie and seconded by Ted to approve resolution giving the City of Jordan the Aberdeen Avenue right of way.  Motion carried.  Ted will talk to Ruppe to get this done.

 

Old Business:

 

Annexation and developer’s agreement – Will be meeting with City of Jordan in the next couple of weeks.

 

Township Right of Way Ordinance –  tabled.

 

City of Belle Plaine update – Nothing to update.

 

City of Jordan updates – As above.

 

MN Dot updates – Nothing to update.

 

Township Road No. 57 Grant Update – Meeting with Dan Jobe, John Strolich, park ranger, board, etc. Rae passed out information from MN DOT stating that they want to close the Acorn Way crossroad and put money into the Township #57 project.  Rae will acknowledge that she received this letter and to get in touch with Ted Kornder. 

 

Union Pacific Railroad – As stated above.

 

Scenic Byways – tabled.

 

Road Maintenance Report – Jim Stang reported that everything looks good.  Ted stated that Les needs to stay on 218th Street until it freezes.  Ted asked if were going to do anything with 195th Street with the stumps and rocks as Dvorak is wondering.  Nothing definite about where stumps are going so will not do anything right now. 

 

Other Business/Notices/Public Comments – Jim Stang asked if we can get a sign down by 169 that says not to block intersection.  We cannot do anything with this but Jim will stop down by the county highway.  Jim also asked about a street light by the railroad track by his house.  Will check into it. 

 

No further business to come before the meeting.  Motion by Hubie and seconded by Ted to recess meeting to all other meetings for the next month.  No discussion.  Motion carried.
