City of Jordan Fire Meeting info for August and September – Ted went to the meeting on Monday night and it was informational.  There was a resident that was invited by Sand Creek Township to express concern about an establishment in town about not coming out to Sand Creek Township if something happened.  Also said that Cy has argued for years about the formula not being right.  Cindy Geis ran 6 different formulas and they were within 1 ˝ points.  The formula is not the issue.  Cy also had a list of things that they have to stop their spending and someone has to be in control of it, ie. New fire truck, new fire department, etc.

Bridge Inspection – No newly acquired roads so this does not apply.

Met Council – Positions open on Metropolitan Parks and Open Space Commission – Informational purposes.

Repairs needed to town hall – Discussed the door and the display box outside that need to be replaced.  Motion by Ted and seconded by Les to fix door and display box.  Motion carried by all.  Mona to call Jeff Neisen and see if he can handle this.

Old Business:

Annexation and developer’s agreement – Tabled at this point.

Township Right of Way Ordinance –  Tabled at this point.

City of Belle Plaine update – In the process of contracting ambulance service with Allina, North Memorial and Ridgeview out of Waconia.  Right now is looks like Ridgeview out of Waconia will be the provider.  Nothing will change in Belle Plaine.  The ambulances will stay in Belle Plaine and they would come in with the management and ALS.  Not the final decision yet but should happen within the month.

City of Jordan updates – As above.

MN Dot updates – No update.

Township Road No. 57 Grant Update – No update.

Union Pacific Railroad – No update.

Scenic Byways – Tabled.

Road Maintenance Report – Need to get the ditches mowed.  Les will call and get this done.  Rae Ann asked if a dead-end sign or a not through road sign can be put up on 213th Street.  Roads look good right now.  Trees are growing in the right of ways again and we need to get these down before they get big again.  This would be a winter project.  There is also a big oak tree by Kenny Pieper’s that we need to talk to Kenny about.

Leslie called and Joe Gustafson was going to come over with regards to the speed limit meeting.  Ted went to see him this morning.  He gave Ted a packet about what to do.  Identify the street, stay specific about why you want the reduction, etc.  Will identify each of the roads and then get letters of concern on this from places such as the DNR, fair board, town board, city of Jordan, etc.
