City
of Jordan Fire Meeting info for August and September – Ted went to the meeting
on Monday night and it was informational. There
was a resident that was invited by Sand Creek Township to express concern about
an establishment in town about not coming out to Sand Creek Township if
something happened. Also said that
Cy has argued for years about the formula not being right.
Cindy Geis ran 6 different formulas and they were within 1 ˝ points.
The formula is not the issue. Cy
also had a list of things that they have to stop their spending and someone has
to be in control of it, ie. New fire truck, new fire department, etc.

Trees are growing in the right of ways again and we need to get these
down before they get big again. This
would be a winter project. There is
also a big oak tree by Kenny Pieper’s that we need to talk to Kenny about.
Leslie
called and Joe Gustafson was going to come over with regards to the speed limit
meeting. Ted went to see him this
morning. He gave Ted a packet about
what to do. Identify the street,
stay specific about why you want the reduction, etc.
Will identify each of the roads and then get letters of concern on this
from places such as the DNR, fair board, town board, city of Jordan, etc.
