and seconded by Hubie to adjourn. No
discussion. Motion carried by all.

Kornder called monthly meeting of September 14, 2006 to order at 7:06 p.m.
Minutes
of the last meetings of August 10, 2006 were reviewed.

Treasurer’s
report:
Rae
Ann Bohlman stated that in the month of August we had income of $1,505.89.
Balance of $534.02 in checking and $217,560.86 in savings.
Also have two $20,000.00 certificates at Community Bank Jordan and a
$20,000 certificate at KleinBank Chaska. The
$20,000 certificate at KleinBank Chaska is due.
Total $378,094.88. Motion by
Ted and seconded by Les to approve treasurer’s report and to reinvest the
certificate at KleinBank with a 13-month certificate.

Board
had discussion as to where the monies for the Old Hwy 169 project should come
from. Motion by Ted and seconded by
Les to approve monies to come out of gravel tax.
Motion carried by all. There
was discussion as to payment of bill to Halling Engineering with regards to the
Woodland Trails project and Township #57 project.
Board decided to hold back the payment of the Halling bill in the amount
of $3,238.75. RaeAnn will request an
itemized billing on the projects, who, what, where and when and how much time,
etc. Motion by Ted and
seconded by Hubie to hold back Halling bill.

by Les and seconded by Hubie to approve bills to be paid.

Reynold
Bohn – Motion by Ted and seconded by Hubie to approve installation of overhead
insulated door to his 30’ x 40’ Lester Building per county codes and
setbacks. Motion carried by all.

Kornder – Motion by Les and seconded by Hubie to approve 30 x 70 x 12’
livestock shelter on an existing concrete platform per county codes and
setbacks. Motion carried.

Lee
Theis – Recommendation for Interim Use Permit to run his landscaping business
from his home. Board discussed with
Lee the process of what has to be done and what the board wants.
Board wants a public open house first to lay everything on the table,
tell the neighbors about the business, number of employees, etc.
Lee Theis will do a public open house on Monday, September 25th
at the townhall at 7 p.m. Lee will
get letters out to all residences required per county.

Kornder recessed monthly meeting to annual meeting at 8:05 p.m.

Kornder re-opened the monthly meeting at 8:14 p.m.
Board
and Lee Theis agreed that they would do the Open House, and that Lee would come
back to the monthly meeting in October to act on this recommendation.
Lee will let the county know that he will be having an open house on
Monday, September 25th at 7 p.m. and will postpone the county meeting
until after this open house and the October meeting.

and seconded by Les to approve permit per county codes and setbacks.

Old
Business:
Annexation
and developer’s agreement – Will be meeting in Jordan on September 20th,
2006 at 3 p.m. and this time developers will be invited in also.
This will be to do basically the same thing that we did with the general
public.
Township
Right of Way Ordinance – tabled.
City
of Belle Plaine update – Old. Hwy. 169 was paved and our payment was made
today. There will be a meeting in
the near future to discuss orderly annexation.
City
of Jordan updates – As stated above.
MN
Dot updates – Assisted with the Old Highway 169 Blvd. Project.
Township
Road No. 57 Grant Update – Paving has been completed and shouldering was
completed today.
Union
Pacific Railroad – Halling Engineering is working on the at-grade crossing on
Township #57 with lights and cross-arms. He
is in contact with them to figure out what we can and can’t do.
Scenic
Byways – tabled.
Road Maintenance Report – Ditch mowing needs to be
done again. Ted to call Stubby and
let him know. Les stated that 218th
will not settle down. The hill is
perfect but other than that, it keeps giving.
May need to add some product next spring.
Les stated that we should also go back to the Fair
Board and let them know that we have blacktopped roads and events at the Fair
should direct traffic to the paved roads, not the gravel roads.
Will look at going to a meeting this winter to try to get something done.
Stumps will be looked at next spring before growth
begins so that they can be located.
Les stated that he personally has a lot of fuel to
get rid of at a cheaper price than is presently at the pumps and wants to know
if he can fill the road grader with his fuel and bill the township for the lower
amount. Board agreed to this.
Les
talked to Jim Stang about needing to dig some rocks yet prior to winter as he
will nail them with the plow if not moved. Les
will try to get out but may need some help.
Jim asked about Old Hwy 169 and how far he will plow on that road now.
Ted stated that we need to make some agreements with Belle Plaine
Township on this and will let him know. Will
get agreements re-established.

thanked whoever was responsible for putting the piece in the paper with regards
to Old Hwy. 169 and thanking Ted
Other
Business/Notices/Public Comments –
Mona
asked about extension cords, electrical boxes, rug, corkboard, etc. for
elections. Board will work on this.
Mr.
Emmerich asked about the electrical lines in the corner of the property that
needs to be cut off. They will not
cut them off.
Township
Association Fall Meeting – September 20, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the Highway
Building, 600 Country Trail East, Jordan, MN.
No further business to come before the meeting. Motion by Hubie and seconded by Les to recess meeting to all other meetings for the next month. No discussion. Motion carried.
