Preschool Classes

Our classes are from 10:00 a.m.–noon at the Nature Center. We will go outside unless the temperature is below zero degrees. The classes are $10.00 and park admission rules apply to all vehicles entering the park. The same class is taught each day. Choose which day works best for your schedule. The fee for the classes goes to the OWLs, the park’s friends’ group. For more information email Kari at

January 12 or 13–Winter Birds

What birds will we see in the winter time? What is life like for a bird in the winter? How can we help them?

February 9 or 10–Owls

Do they really spit up their left over food? Learn gross and cool facts about owls.

March 9 or 10–Deer

Find out about the life of deer in Wisconsin. How do they escape danger, what do they eat in the winter and when will the fawns be born.

April 13 or 14–Butterflies

When will we see these amazing insects again? How are they different from moths? Discover this and more in class.

May 11 or 12–Plants

It is spring time and all the new plants are growing. Plant some flowers to take home that you can enjoy and the insects will use. Look at some of the spring flowers in the park.
